Files Allege Jeffrey Epstein Spent Time Living with Pope John Paul II in Vatican

2003: Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell with Pope John Paul II at the Vatican

It’s not surprising that the Vatican shows up in the Epstein files since Epstein kept tabs on every powerful entity on the planet. But one email claims Epstein actually lived in the Vatican with Pope John Paul II at some point.

An email from Brandon Thompson, who appeared to be a contractor working on refinishing and lime-washing columns in one of Epstein’s homes, outlined the intricacies of the project to Richard Kahn at HBRK Associates, Epstein’s accountant.

“He wants me to finish each column different, as when he was living with Pope John Paul the Second in Vatican, he looked at variety of different columns captured in wars,” wrote Thompson. “He told me that every Pope demanded to have a column from every concurred [SIC] country, so there is a collection of different columns in Vatican.”

Of course there is no proof that Epstein lived with the Pope, although he and Ghislaine Maxwell visited with him in 2003 during a public audience. Just how intimate Epstein was with the Vatican is unknown, but in 2011 he claimed to have nearly possessed the Codex Vaticanus, one of the oldest and most important Church relics containing a majority of the Greek Old Testament and the majority of the New Testament. The Codex was famously seized by Napoleon in 1799 as a war trophy but was returned to the Vatican Library in 1815.

In an email to Boris Nikolic, who was a science advisor to the Bill Gates Foundation at the time and a close Epstein confidante, Epstein wrote, “I forgot to mention to Bill, that one of the first almost interactions with him was when I was the underbidder for the codex…The auctioneers told me that i shold drop out because if i owned them, no one would ever see them and they really should be in semi public hands.. I later had to settle for a present from the vatican of a special edition.”

One of the most revealing emails about Epstein’s alleged ties to the Vatican is a 2013 correspondence with Larry Summers, former U.S. Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton, former Harvard President and former chief economist at the World Bank. Epstein writes, “The most important change in the Vatican may not be Pope Benedict XVI sudden retirement but the change in leadership at ‘the Institute for Works of Religion,’ the Vatican’s bank. Because of the Vatican’s status as a sovereign country, it is exempt from transparency rules of not only Italy— but of the European Union. This status allows its elite clients to evade any scrutiny in their money transfers.”

“Last May,” continued Epstein. “Vatican Bank President Ettore Gotti Tedeschi was fired after Italian authorities opened an investigation into a far flung bribery scheme in which he was allegedly involved. Then 47 dossiers, including compromising about “internal enemies” of his in the Vatican were found in a search of his home. They had instructions how they were used in case something happened to him. Tcdeschi’s intercepted calls futhcr revealed that his concern was that he would be assassinated because he knoew the Vatican’s secrets. By late 2012, he was cooperating with the ongoing Italian investigation, It was at this point that the all-powerful College of Cardinals, in one of the last acts in the Benedict papacy, appointed German lawyer Ernst von Freyberg as President of the bank. The came the extraordinary resignation of Pope Benedict.”

Freyberg had a short tenure as Vatican Bank president. He was named in June 2012 as an interim leader, then appointed president in February of 2013. Von Freyberg quickly began to open up the bank and adopted a zero-tolerance approach to suspicious activities, advocating transparency. He was dismissed in July along with the Vatican Bank’s entire senior management team as part of extensive reforms to the Catholic Church’s central government.

Jean-Baptiste Douville de Franssu has been chairman of Vatican Bank’s advisory board since July of 2014.

  1. Picked something concrete from the post that I will use immediately, and a look at linkcabin added another concrete piece, content that produces immediately useful output rather than just abstract appreciation is content that earns its place in my regular rotation without needing any further evaluation from me at this point honestly.

  2. Will be coming back to this for sure, too much good content to absorb in one sitting, and a stop at findpeaceandpurpose only added more pages I want to dig through, this site is going onto my regular rotation list because it consistently delivers something worth the visit lately rather than empty filler.

  3. Adding this site to my regular reading list, the post earned that on its own, and a quick stop at findnewinspiration sealed the decision, the kind of place worth checking back with from time to time because it consistently produces material that holds up against a critical reading too which I really value.

  4. Liked the way the post got out of its own way, and a stop at simplebuyoutlet extended that invisible craft, the best writing you barely notice while reading because it is doing its work without drawing attention to itself and this site has clearly mastered that disappearing act across the pieces I have read.

  5. Such writing is increasingly rare and worth supporting through attention, and a stop at findyournextgoal extended that supportive attention across more pages, the conscious choice to spend time on sites that produce careful work rather than convenient consumption is itself a small form of patronage and this site is receiving that conscious patronage from me.

  6. Now feeling that this site is the kind I want to make sure does not disappear, and a look at seocrest reinforced that quiet protective feeling, the rare sites whose disappearance would actually matter to me are the sites I want to support through return visits and recommendations and this one has joined that small protected list.

  7. Honest reaction is that I want to send this to a friend who would benefit from it, and a look at rankanchor added more material I will pass along too, the impulse to share is the strongest signal I have for content quality and this site is generating that impulse cleanly across multiple posts.

  8. Spent a few minutes here and came away with a clearer picture of the topic, the writing keeps things simple without dumbing them down, and after a stop at findperfectgift the rest of the points lined up neatly which is something I appreciate when I am short on time and need answers fast.

  9. While browsing different digital storefronts, I found a simple and well-organized ecommerce platform, and Cloud Petal collective browsing hub delivers a clean shopping experience overall – Products are arranged neatly and clearly, making navigation easy and ensuring users can browse comfortably without clutter or visual overload.

  10. Reading this in a moment of low energy still kept my attention, and a stop at trendandstylehub continued that engagement under suboptimal conditions, content that survives the reader being tired is content with extra reserves of pull and this site has the kind of writing that holds up even when I am not at my reading best.

  11. Now understanding why someone recommended this site to me a while back, and a stop at discoverbetteroptions explained the recommendation, sometimes recommendations make sense only after experience and this site has finally clicked into place as the kind of resource I now understand was being recommended for sound editorial reasons by my friend.

  12. A piece that was confident enough to leave some questions open rather than forcing closure, and a look at creativityunlocked continued that intellectual honesty, content that admits the limits of its scope is more trustworthy than content that pretends to total understanding and this site has the right calibration on certainty consistently.

  13. A piece that did not require external context to follow, and a look at buildyourpotential maintained the same self contained quality, content that stands alone without forcing readers to chase prerequisites is more accessible and this site has clearly thought about how each piece can serve a fresh visitor rather than only existing members.

  14. Refreshing to read something where the words actually mean something instead of filling space, and a stop at styleandchoice kept that going, the writing here trusts the reader to follow along without endless repetition or constant reminders of what was already said earlier in the post which I appreciate.

  15. Speaking from the perspective of having read widely on the topic this site offers something distinct, and a look at connectwithpeople reinforced that distinctness, the rare site that contributes something genuinely original to a saturated topic is the rare site worth following carefully and this one has demonstrated that original contribution capability today.

  16. A piece that read as the work of someone who reads carefully themselves, and a look at rankspark continued that informed feel, writers who are also serious readers produce work with a different quality and this site reads as the product of someone steeped in good writing rather than just generating content for an audience.

  17. Appreciated how the post felt complete without overstaying its welcome, and a stop at linkclimb confirmed that economical approach runs across the site, knowing when to stop is a skill many writers never develop but here the discipline is obvious and welcome from the perspective of a busy reader trying to learn things efficiently.

  18. Reading this gave me a small refresher on something I had partially forgotten, and a stop at findyourinspiration extended the refresher, content that strengthens existing knowledge rather than just adding new is content with a particular kind of consolidating value and this site is providing that consolidating function across multiple visits.

  19. Probably the best thing I have read on this topic in the past month, and a stop at adfoundry extended that ranking, the casual ranking of recent reading is informal but real and this site has been winning those rankings for me on this topic specifically over the last several weeks of regular reading sessions.

  20. A piece that respected the reader by not over explaining the obvious, and a look at thinkactachieve continued that calibrated approach, finding the right level of explanation is one of the harder editorial calls and this site has clearly thought carefully about what readers will already know versus what they need help with consistently.

  21. A quiet piece that did not try to compete on volume, and a look at discoveramazingfinds maintained that selective approach, sites that publish less but better are increasingly rare in an environment that rewards volume and this one has clearly chosen quality cadence over quantity which is a brave editorial decision in current conditions.

  22. The structure of the post made it easy to follow without losing track of where I was, and a look at rankbeacon kept the same logical flow going, this site clearly understands that organisation is half the battle in keeping readers engaged from the first line to the last across any kind of post.

  23. Really like that the writer trusts the reader to follow simple logic without restating every previous point, and a stop at dailyvalueoutlet kept that respect going, treating an audience as capable adults rather than as people who need constant hand holding makes a noticeable difference in the reading experience for me.

  24. Glad I gave this fifteen minutes rather than the usual three minute skim, and a look at findmotivationtoday earned the same investment, time spent on quality content is rarely wasted but the reverse is also true and learning which sites deserve which kind of attention is part of being a careful online reader.

  25. Glad I gave this fifteen minutes rather than the usual three minute skim, and a look at freshfashionmarket earned the same investment, time spent on quality content is rarely wasted but the reverse is also true and learning which sites deserve which kind of attention is part of being a careful online reader.

  26. During my review of educational content websites, I came across a platform that feels simple and effective, and MindExpand learning stream offers smooth browsing overall – Content is well organized, pages are responsive, and users can explore ideas without distractions or unnecessary visual complexity.

  27. Now planning to recommend this site in a context where my recommendations are taken seriously, and a stop at trendandfashionhub confirmed I should make that recommendation soon, the small but real act of recommending content into spaces where my taste matters is something I take seriously and this site is worth the recommendation.

  28. I spent part of today reviewing different online stores and eventually landed on recommended grove marketplace hub, and it was a helpful experience overall, with neatly organized products and comfortable navigation throughout the browsing journey.

  29. Really liked the calm tone running through the post, no shouting and no urgency forced into the writing, and a look at leadridge kept that quiet confidence going, the kind of voice that makes the reader feel respected rather than yelled at which is depressingly common across most modern blog content these days.

  30. Reading this slowly and letting each paragraph land before moving on, and a stop at thinkcreateachieve earned the same patient approach, content that rewards slow reading rather than speed is content with real density and the writers here are clearly producing work that benefits from the careful eye rather than the rushed scan.

  31. Nice and clean, that is the best way to describe the writing here, no clutter and no wasted words, and a quick visit to besttrendstore kept that going, I appreciate when a site treats its readers like people who can think for themselves without needing constant hand holding through every paragraph.

  32. Saving this link for the next time someone asks me about this topic, and a look at admetric expanded what I will be sharing with them, this is the kind of resource that makes a real difference when you are trying to point a friend to something useful and reliable rather than generic marketing pages.

  33. One of the more honest takes on the topic I have seen lately, no spin and no oversell, and a stop at findyourtrend kept that going, the kind of voice the open web could use a lot more of rather than the endless echo chamber of recycled opinions floating around every social platform these days.

  34. Came in expecting another generic take and got something with actual character instead, and a look at ranksprout carried that personality forward, finding a distinct voice on a saturated topic is impressive and worth pointing out when it happens because most sites end up sounding identical to their nearest competitors quickly.

  35. Reading carefully here has reminded me what reading carefully feels like, and a look at linkcove extended that reminder, the experience of careful reading versus skimming is different in ways I had partially forgotten and this site has clearly refreshed my memory of what attention feels like when content rewards it consistently.

  36. Skipped the comments section but might come back to read it, and a stop at makeimpacteveryday hinted at a quality reader community, sites where the comments are worth reading separately from the post are increasingly rare and signal a particular kind of audience that has grown around the editorial vision over time gradually.

  37. During comparison of ecommerce platforms focused on user experience, I noticed a site with strong speed optimization, and Petal Cloud market center offers a reliable browsing experience overall – Pages load fast, and the interface remains stable, allowing users to explore products easily without interruptions or delays in navigation flow.

  38. While exploring various digital marketplaces and websites earlier today, I came across helpful online showcase and appreciated how the browsing felt easy, with products clearly displayed and descriptions written in a natural and user friendly way.

  39. Now thinking the topic is more interesting than I had given it credit for, and a stop at explorecreativeconcepts continued that elevated interest, content that revives my curiosity about subjects I had set aside is doing genuine work in the structure of my interests and this site is providing that revivifying effect today actually.

  40. Now appreciating that the post did not require external context to follow, and a look at brightstylecorner maintained the same self contained quality, content that respects new visitors by being readable without prerequisites is content with broader accessibility and this site has clearly invested in keeping each piece reader friendly for fresh arrivals.

  41. Quality you can feel from the first paragraph, the writer clearly knows the topic and how to share it, and a quick look at rankbloom confirmed the same depth runs throughout the rest of the site as well which is rare and worth pointing out when it happens online for any reader passing through.
