Files Allege Jeffrey Epstein Spent Time Living with Pope John Paul II in Vatican

2003: Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell with Pope John Paul II at the Vatican

It’s not surprising that the Vatican shows up in the Epstein files since Epstein kept tabs on every powerful entity on the planet. But one email claims Epstein actually lived in the Vatican with Pope John Paul II at some point.

An email from Brandon Thompson, who appeared to be a contractor working on refinishing and lime-washing columns in one of Epstein’s homes, outlined the intricacies of the project to Richard Kahn at HBRK Associates, Epstein’s accountant.

“He wants me to finish each column different, as when he was living with Pope John Paul the Second in Vatican, he looked at variety of different columns captured in wars,” wrote Thompson. “He told me that every Pope demanded to have a column from every concurred [SIC] country, so there is a collection of different columns in Vatican.”

Of course there is no proof that Epstein lived with the Pope, although he and Ghislaine Maxwell visited with him in 2003 during a public audience. Just how intimate Epstein was with the Vatican is unknown, but in 2011 he claimed to have nearly possessed the Codex Vaticanus, one of the oldest and most important Church relics containing a majority of the Greek Old Testament and the majority of the New Testament. The Codex was famously seized by Napoleon in 1799 as a war trophy but was returned to the Vatican Library in 1815.

In an email to Boris Nikolic, who was a science advisor to the Bill Gates Foundation at the time and a close Epstein confidante, Epstein wrote, “I forgot to mention to Bill, that one of the first almost interactions with him was when I was the underbidder for the codex…The auctioneers told me that i shold drop out because if i owned them, no one would ever see them and they really should be in semi public hands.. I later had to settle for a present from the vatican of a special edition.”

One of the most revealing emails about Epstein’s alleged ties to the Vatican is a 2013 correspondence with Larry Summers, former U.S. Treasury Secretary under President Bill Clinton, former Harvard President and former chief economist at the World Bank. Epstein writes, “The most important change in the Vatican may not be Pope Benedict XVI sudden retirement but the change in leadership at ‘the Institute for Works of Religion,’ the Vatican’s bank. Because of the Vatican’s status as a sovereign country, it is exempt from transparency rules of not only Italy— but of the European Union. This status allows its elite clients to evade any scrutiny in their money transfers.”

“Last May,” continued Epstein. “Vatican Bank President Ettore Gotti Tedeschi was fired after Italian authorities opened an investigation into a far flung bribery scheme in which he was allegedly involved. Then 47 dossiers, including compromising about “internal enemies” of his in the Vatican were found in a search of his home. They had instructions how they were used in case something happened to him. Tcdeschi’s intercepted calls futhcr revealed that his concern was that he would be assassinated because he knoew the Vatican’s secrets. By late 2012, he was cooperating with the ongoing Italian investigation, It was at this point that the all-powerful College of Cardinals, in one of the last acts in the Benedict papacy, appointed German lawyer Ernst von Freyberg as President of the bank. The came the extraordinary resignation of Pope Benedict.”

Freyberg had a short tenure as Vatican Bank president. He was named in June 2012 as an interim leader, then appointed president in February of 2013. Von Freyberg quickly began to open up the bank and adopted a zero-tolerance approach to suspicious activities, advocating transparency. He was dismissed in July along with the Vatican Bank’s entire senior management team as part of extensive reforms to the Catholic Church’s central government.

Jean-Baptiste Douville de Franssu has been chairman of Vatican Bank’s advisory board since July of 2014.

  1. Thanks for treating the topic with the seriousness it deserves without becoming pompous about it, and a stop at learnexploreachieve continued that balanced treatment, the gap between earnest and self serious is huge and writers who can stay on the right side of it earn my respect when I find them online today.

  2. During a casual online search for organized shopping collections and attractive browsing destinations, I visited special product showcase – The website design felt visually appealing, the content arrangement remained clear and structured, and the navigation tools worked smoothly enough to create an enjoyable overall browsing experience.

  3. Stands out for actually being useful instead of just being long, and a look at makeimpacteveryday kept that going, length without value is the default mode of most blogs these days but this site has clearly chosen a different path which I respect a lot as a reader who values careful editing decisions like that.

  4. Worth recognising that the post did not pretend to be the final word on the topic, and a stop at believeinyourideas continued that humility, content that admits its own scope and limits is more trustworthy than content that overreaches and this site has clearly developed the editorial maturity to know what it can and cannot claim well.

  5. Will be back, that is the simplest way to say it, and a quick visit to findsomethingamazing reinforced the decision, this site has earned a spot in my regular rotation alongside a few other reliable places I check when I want something genuinely informative without all the usual modern web noise getting in the way.

  6. After several visits I am now confident this site is one to follow seriously, and a stop at uniquegiftideas reinforced that confidence, the gradual building of trust through repeated quality exposures is the only sustainable way to develop reader loyalty and this site is building that loyalty in me through patient consistent work consistently.

  7. Quality you can feel from the first paragraph, the writer clearly knows the topic and how to share it, and a quick look at everydayshoppinghub confirmed the same depth runs throughout the rest of the site as well which is rare and worth pointing out when it happens online for any reader passing through.

  8. Skimmed first and then went back to read carefully, and the careful read paid off in places I had missed, and a stop at discoverandbuy got the same treatment, the rare site whose content rewards a second pass is content I want more of in my regular rotation rather than disposable single read articles.

  9. Picked up two new ideas that I expect will come up in conversations this week, and a look at uniquevaluecorner added another, content that arms me with talking points rather than just filling time is the kind that provides ongoing value beyond the moment of reading and this site is generating that kind of ongoing value.

  10. While casually checking online knowledge websites this afternoon, I eventually explored simple trust info hub because the interface looked structured and browsing felt more intuitive than many cluttered platforms online currently – The content shared here was nice and everything appeared updated and carefully arranged for visitors.

  11. After reviewing multiple internet websites and digital collections this afternoon, I landed on organized browsing portal, where the smooth browsing flow and regularly updated content made the experience feel modern and reliable.

  12. Now planning a longer reading session for the archives, and a stop at findyournextgoal confirmed the archives are worth that longer commitment, sites with archives I want to read deliberately rather than just sample are rare and this one has clearly earned that level of interest based on the consistency of what I have already read.

  13. Time spent here today felt productive in the way that good reading sessions sometimes do, and a stop at discovergreatvalue extended that productive feeling across the rest of the morning, the difference between productive reading and merely passing time is real and this site is consistently on the productive side for me lately.

  14. Reading this in a moment of low energy still kept my attention, and a stop at shapeyourdreams continued that engagement under suboptimal conditions, content that survives the reader being tired is content with extra reserves of pull and this site has the kind of writing that holds up even when I am not at my reading best.

  15. Most attempts at writing on this topic feel like they are missing something and this post finally identified what was missing, and a look at simplebuyhub extended that diagnostic clarity, content that names what is wrong with adjacent treatments while doing better itself is content with both critical and constructive value and this site has both.

  16. Skipped the related products section because there was none, and a stop at findyourinspirationtoday also lacked any aggressive monetisation, content that is not constantly trying to convert me into a customer or subscriber is content that has confidence in its own value and that confidence shows up as a different reading experience.

  17. Reading this prompted a brief but useful conversation with a colleague who happened to walk by, and a stop at everydaystylemarket extended that conversational seed, content that becomes a starting point for in person discussion rather than ending in solitary reading is content with social generative energy and this site has plenty of it apparently.

  18. During comparison of innovation and design platforms, I noticed a website that feels modern and easy to browse for creative inspiration, and Explore Creative Ideas provides a smooth browsing experience overall – The platform structures content clearly, helping designers and innovators stay inspired without unnecessary complexity.

  19. Liked that there was nothing performative about the writing, and a stop at globalfashionfinds continued that genuine quality, performative writing tries to be witnessed rather than read and the difference between performance and substance is huge for the careful reader and this site has clearly chosen substance every time clearly.

  20. Just wanted to drop a quick note saying this was a useful read on a topic I have been circling, no fluff, and a stop at findbestdeals added a few extra points that fit the same simple style which makes the whole site feel coherent rather than thrown together by many different writers with different goals.

  21. The depth of coverage felt about right for the format, neither shallow nor overwhelming, and a look at makesomethingnew kept that calibration going, getting the depth right for blog format is genuinely difficult because too shallow loses experts and too deep loses beginners but this site nailed it nicely which I really do appreciate.

  22. Once you start reading carefully here it is hard to go back to lower quality alternatives, and a stop at changeyourfuture reinforced that ratchet effect, the way good content raises standards is real over time and this site has clearly contributed to raising my expectations for what is possible in writing on the topic generally.

  23. While exploring online smart shopping and deal platforms, I came across smart deal finder guide – The platform had interesting content and smooth navigation, making the browsing experience enjoyable, easy, and worth visiting regularly for new shopping insights.

  24. Glad the writer kept this short rather than padding it out, the points stand on their own without needing extra context, and a look at yourstylematters kept the same approach going, brevity is a sign of confidence in the substance and the team here clearly trusts their content to land without filler.

  25. Decided not to comment because the post said what needed saying, and a stop at newtrendmarket continued that complete feel, content that does not invite obvious additions or corrections from readers is content that has been carefully considered and this site appears to consistently produce pieces that satisfy rather than provoke unnecessary follow ups.

While reviewing creative online marketplaces, I noticed Bay Collective product hub offering a clean grid layout and consistent spacing across pages, which makes browsing comfortable even on longer sessions – Product presentation is simple yet effective, giving a neat overall shopping experience.

  28. 29. After browsing through various online marketplaces today, I eventually discovered structured urban pine hub, and I experienced a nice browsing session overall, where categories remained organized and website functionality worked perfectly throughout the platform.

  30. Started taking notes about halfway through because the points were stacking up, and a look at groweverymoment added enough material that my notes file grew further, content that demands note taking from a passive reader is content with substance and the writers here are clearly producing that kind of work consistently across topics.

  31. Just dropping by to say thanks for the effort, it does not go unnoticed when a writer cares this much about the reader, and after I went through believeandcreate I was certain this is one of the better corners of the internet for this particular kind of content which is genuinely refreshing.

  32. This stands out compared to similar posts I have read recently, less noise and more substance, and a look at brightvalueworld kept that gap going, you can really feel the difference between content made by someone who cares versus content made to fill a publishing schedule for an algorithm trying to keep growing somehow.

  33. Got something practical out of this that I can apply later this week, and a stop at brightnewbeginnings added more details to think about, this is exactly the kind of content I bookmark for future reference rather than the throwaway listicles that dominate most search results these days for almost any common topic.

  34. A welcome reminder that thoughtful writing still happens online, and a look at makepositivechanges extended that reassurance, the modern web makes it easy to forget that careful writing exists and finding sites that practice it is a small antidote to the cynicism that builds up from too much exposure to algorithmic content.

  35. While checking various shipping tools and parcel tracking websites earlier today, I reviewed shipment insight hub because the navigation felt easy and structured – Overall experience felt pleasant today, and the website design appeared modern, visually appealing, and naturally inviting for users needing reliable logistics information.

  36. 37. 38. While exploring digital learning platforms and informational websites, I discovered shared learning hub – The structure was clean and intuitive, helping users navigate smoothly while accessing useful content that supported a positive and engaging browsing experience throughout the entire session.

  39. Picked a single sentence from this post to remember, and a look at dailytrendspot gave me another to keep, content that produces memorable lines is doing more than just transferring information and the small selection of sentences I keep from each reading session is one of the actual returns I get from reading carefully.

  40. During my review of shopping deal platforms, I came across a website that feels structured and accessible for everyday bargain seekers, and Savings Discovery portal offers a smooth browsing experience overall – The layout is intuitive, deals are displayed clearly, and users can explore money-saving opportunities without unnecessary distractions or interface complexity.
